Boone in Blossom Community Outreach Festival 2023
Gati Productions is partnered with the local Hunger & Health Coalition serving Watauga, Avery & Ashe counties. Over the past 8 years, we've raised over 13 TONS of food for the Hunger & Health Coalition with participants bringing non-perishable food items to the events.
We appreciate the continual support making these festivals a collaborative community event that not only gives back but is a platform for community members to come together, share a common space and educate one another.
We are excited to bring you a diverse workshop line-up and musical acts from up and down the east coast!
This four-day community event is like no other!
Weekend passes are $40.
$20 single day passes will be available.
Kids 14 and under are free and as always.
Dogs require a $15 accountability ticket and all dogs are required to remain on leash for the duration of the weekend.
Tickets include camping, parking, and entrance to all workshops, classes and musical performances.
Gates open at noon on Thursday and everyone must be packed up and off the grounds by 5pm on Sunday.
Those interested in volunteering can contact jeremiahwbrown@gmail.com and please write "VOLUNTEER" in the subject heading of the email. An online ticket must be purchased and you will be reimbursed after your shift is complete.
We are looking forward to strengthening our community, making new memories and planting the seeds of our future garden with all of you! See you in April!

The workshop list includes: Outdoor Living Skills, Permaculture, Acupuncture, Massage Therapy, Yoga, Dances of Universal Peace, Crystal Singing Bowl Meditation, Hula-Hoop, Poi Spinning, Wisdom Discussion circles, and other participant led workshops. Bands, artists, singer/songwriters, poets, jugglers, acrobats, healers, hula hoopers and fire spinners have all created memorable entertainment that exemplifies the talent and diversity of Boone. All artists and workshop leaders offer their services with no expectation of compensation. We have an amazing photography team who sets up a fun booth for all to dress up and get goofy. Thank you Kingdom Photography for capturing these precious moments in another season!

Workshop Descriptions:
"Medicinal Meads" with Thomas Cooper Join this workshop to learn the art of making meads. This workshop class offers insight into the ancient practice of fermentation. Fermentation predates distillation by 2,000 years and was the primary way of concocting herbal plants (and their constituents) into bio-available medicines that have a lasting shelf-life. The class is a demonstration on how brew mead at home with basic equipment, which ultimately empowers even the novice to begin fermenting their own medicinal beverages. The class consists of a lecture, Socratic styles and a hands-on component giving the students a "feel" for fermentation. We will also sample previously made beverages that are not limited to mead. For our Health and Happiness. *Must be 21 years of age to join this workshop! "Expressive Arts" with Carol Anne This activity is intended to bring awareness to behavior patterns or tendencies that keep us chasing our tails. The hope is that with this insight we are able to make changes that allow us to step into positive actions and bring to life our unique beauty in every area of our lives. Participants should wear comfortable loose fitting clothing that will be ok if stained with pastels. Bring a journal and pen. A bolster or pillow to sit on and a yoga mat would be good too. "Weaving" with Brett Butler Come join us and get your hands involved with making your own finger woven belt! Materials and instruction are provided, and this skill can be expanded easily for your own craftwork! An ancient technique used by cultures across the globe throughout time, finger weaving is a simple fiber art that yields beautiful and functional results! www.FieldTripsDelivered.com "Edible and Medicinal Plants of Appalachia" with Thomas Cooper
Connect deeper with Mother Earth and your fellow human beings as we "plant walk" through the festival grounds looking closer into the abundant world of plants and discuss the benefits herbs have to support our health and happiness. Join Thomas and walk away with some valuable knowledge! |
"Fire in a Pinch" with Brett Butler Learn to create fire when conditions are dire, by gathering sticks and sap. Brett will show you the way to brighten your day, and keep warm for a long winters nap! Learn this essential outdoor skill with Brett! www.FieldTripsDelivered.com |
"Meditation" with Adam Saylor Join Adam for a time of silent awareness through the simple (and infinitely deep) practice of meditation. Adam will give each person their own personal method, and then we will all practice together. Adam has taken initiations in many yogic practices including (and certainly not limited to) Sri Sri Sri Shivabalayogi Maharaj's Dhyan Yoga, Mother Meera's Darshan and Japa Yoga, Swami Satchidananda's Yoga Nidra (as directly given through a close disciple), Guru Ram Lal Siyag's Siddha Yoga, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Transcendental Meditation, and Sri Mataji Nirmala Devi's Sahaja Yoga. Adam actively works with many master teachers both in and out of body including (again, not limited to) Sri Sri Sri Shivabalayogi Maharaj, Mother Meera, Sri Aurobindo, Emmanuel, Ashtar, Jesus The Christ, Sri Ramakrishna, and various master plant teachers. Adam offers meditation for free in private, though he does occasionally still offer this in public settings for free as well. Adam will offer two meditation sessions at Boone in Blossom 2017! |
"Crystal Singing Bowls" with Jeremiah Brown
This is a COMMUNITY EVENT! During this workshop, we love to turn off the music board & invite all participants to the festival to join us for a Crystal Singing Bowl Gathering. The healing vibrations of these crystal quartz singing bowls will soothe your entire system! Each bowl is tuned to a certain note- just as each organ in our body is tuned to a certain note. So when you are ill or fatigued - this ancient healing technique will ring you back into your natural rhythmic note! We ask you to sit quietly around the bowls, sink in & ENJOY! |
